Just a bunch of young to middle-aged, Christian men changed the world forever.  The Founding Fathers

Happy Father’s Day!

Why and how did they do this? What was their base, their foundation? I believe their strong belief in God, natural rights, and liberty enabled them to declare their independence from King George III. They not only inspired colonists to form militias and join the Continental Army, but they also inspired other peoples around the world. 

Thus the Founding Fathers changed history and the way people live. The Founding Fathers Matter!!

For two thousand years of European history, people lived under kings and queens and a brutal existence to survive. The Founding Fathers created a nation ruled by laws and God-given rights. A system full of, “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.†Because of their efforts, slavery was abolished in the North. By 1820 all Northern States had abolished slavery.

Their knowledge of the Bible was unquestioned. Thus the Bible formed the foundation for their lives. Many wrote about how the Bible influenced their lives. Dr. Benjamin Rush said, the Bible, should always remain in the schools and should be the preferred textbook above all others. James McHenry, signer of the Constitution said, “The Holy Scriptures….can alone secure to society, order and peace, and to our courts of justice and constitutions of government, purity, stability, and usefulness In vain, without the Bible, we increase penal laws and draw entrenchments around our institutions. Bibles are strong entrenchments. Where they abound, men cannot pursue wicked courses.â€

The Founding Fathers!!

President John Adams said, “Our Constitution was made only for moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.†Thus our laws work only when people are moral and religious. Look at our crime rates today and I think you will agree with President Adams.

Therefore, why do the Founding Fathers Matter? Reread the above and realize what they accomplished. They set the wheels in motion for everything else to happen. God Bless our young to middle-aged Christian men who changed the world forever!!
