HERE’S WHY HISTORY

Written by Lydia Wallace Nuttall

So why is learning history — especially ACCURATE American history — so important? Because if we don’t understand HOW and WHY America became the most free and prosperous nation in the world, we Americans will use our freedom to un-do what America was created to be: An example to the world of how to create and preserve freedom and the opportunity for ALL people — everyone! — to pursue happiness, to prosper, and live in peace.
DID YOU KNOW?
◠Native Americans persecuted and enslaved each other, and took over other tribes’ territory. Whites have persecuted and enslaved each other. Africans enslaved each other. Egyptians did it. Romans did it. Asians did, too. EVERY RACE is guilty of persecuting enslaving others. We ALL STILL DO IT via human trafficking!
â— The entire history of the world is one in which one nation of people would go out and conquer another nation and rule over / persecute / oppress another race or nation. Attila the Hun, Alexander the Great, Napoleon, Hitler, Stalin and others.
◠America is the first nation to actually DECLARE to the entire world that WE stand firm on the principle that all mankind are created equal by the Creator. THAT is what made Americans unique: 13 Colonies unitedly affirmed that all people are God’s creations and therefore all people have the unalienable right of life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness
◠America is one of the first nations to STOP the tradition of conquering others in order to become rich and powerful. Instead, we became one of the richest and most powerful nations in the world because we offer ALL races, sexes, ages, beliefs, religions and creeds FREEDOM = OPPORTUNITY to work, invent, create, build, design, grow, learn, develop, sell, trade, invest, export with each other. THIS is why it’s important to know TRUE American history! TRUE American history unites us, inspires us, and makes us feel proud of our rich American heritage.

We ALL have freedom of opportunity in America… ALL of us do.  The question is:  What are we choosing to do with our freedom? Let us not forget America’s accurate history that we all fought alongside each other regardless of our difference and MANY died for EVERYONE’S freedom in America.

We The KidsTHAT’S something we all can be proud about of as Americans!

I’m a volunteer teacher of the constitution to any schools in Arizona that will invite us.
I also teach to adult groups, like AFP, women’s Republican clubs….

Bravo to Lydia Nuttell for her story that embraces the essence of the TRUE story of OUR great country: that while there is no denying the fact that slavery was indeed part of our American story- forever a stain on our heritage- but thanks to God, that that terrible part of our past, is exactly that: part of our past! It no longer exists in America!
Further, it was the express purpose of our Founding Fathers to establish under God, a country where “…All men are Created Equal,” and, “…that they are endowed by their Creator with Certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
It is by the Godly nature of the vast majority of Americans that this great nation has overcome the evils of our past to become the living example to the world- of how a people, of how a nation- can self-correct- to become the beacon of light on the hill- of Liberty and Justice for ALL!

If we do not learn our history and understand it, it will be repeated. We can never ever allow complacency to lull us into a sense of peace. Although we are just journeying through this world, it is our faith on this side of the cross that determines our eternal destination: heaven or hell. We are here to advance the kingdom of God by the unselfish choice of serving one another. We are bondservants only to Jesus and the Word of God. We are created equal in the eyes of God. We, as both individuals and as males and female, have different roles but still equal. Let us learn God’s word so we can understand our priorities and roles in this life. God is with us. God bless America!

My sincere thanks to ALL who work so hard at WTK to keep the real truth of our history alive in these present times when the truth is so often “inconvenient” for so many… The great Jefferson Davis said that, “Truth crushed to the earth is truth still and like a seed will rise again.” The seeds you sow today will grow and blossom for generations to come!

This is wonderful! The true history of our country needs to be preserved and taught!

I wholeheartedly agree with you. Our children need to learn about the history of our country. It’s one of the most important things we can do for them in these times. If we don’t, we are going to lose our country to the Socialists and Communist who live in America.

Learning from the past shows us patterns that are repeated over and over again in different generations.
From the past we can learn not to make the same mistakes that our ancestors did. Knowing past can possibly help us understand the trend that humanity is following and what the future may bring. Learning from the past is important.
    Thank You We The Kids

Wow! So many great comments here, it is sooo heartwarming to read these wonderful remarks!
And, most importantly, we share the same belief: that it is our faith in God, in Jesus!… upon which we believe that our Country will be restored.
This is the same belief now that it was in the years leading up to 1776, when our brilliant Founding Fathers wrote the Declaration of Independence, in which they spoke of God four times; once, to ask for God’s help to start our Country!
“We therefore, the representatives of the United States of America, in general Congress assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the World for the rectitude of our intentions…”
This IS THE TRUE STORY of OUR Country: that our wonderful American way of life IS based on Christianity! This is what should be taught in “our” “schools.”

The history of the world is one of constant struggle with brutal things as slavery, America was the change the world needed. Always be proud of our ancestors and build on thier triumphs over tyranny

This is so important! It’s so unfair that kids are not taught what actually happened in history, and not the slanted view from teachers and professors on the left!

History is the pathway to our future. If we do not learn about our history, the mistakes made and why, and the victories won and at what cost, we set ourselves up to repeat the same mistakes over repeatedly. Our children, these KIDS, are America’s hope and future. Teach them truth and teach them well.

One of the first things I was taught about history is that it is written by those who won and that biased should be taken into consideration.
