The Drums of Freedom

Our wonderful American way of life emanates from the beliefs written in the Declaration of Independence, “…that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights…” and “That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed…“

Yet today, most young people graduate high school without ever reading the Declaration of Independence. They know very little about our Founding Fathers, or the principles of freedom upon which they established our great country.

This is why I present “The Drums of Freedom!”

“The Drums of Freedom!” is a unique live presentation about our Declaration of Independence and the principles of freedom contained therein, as written by our Founding Fathers.

“The Drums of Freedom!” begins with a prayer and recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by a drum solo that is entertaining and never fails to gain the attention of the audience!

The presentation then brings forth information about:

  • The times when our Declaration of Independence was written,
  • The men who wrote it,
  • Its contents and meaning and,
  • The faith of our Founding Fathers, with quotes from Patrick Henry, George Washington, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, where they talked about their Christian faith in their own words.

It is vital to understand the nature of the men who wrote our founding documents if we are to understand the nature of the documents themselves.

The presentation culminates with a recital of the Declaration of Independence, exactly as written, with emphasis and meaning, to help students gain a meaningful understanding of our Founding Fathers’ courage and their vision for our freedom.

At HistoryStrips, we believe that it is very important for our younger generation to become better educated about our country and the people who brought us our freedom.
