HISTORY AND THE HIGHWAY
Former history teacher at Highland High School in Salt Lake City. Former Coach college football at the University of Utah, Arizona, and then defensive coordinator at the University of Pennsylvania. Stan Ellsworth – AMERICAN RIDE
Stan Ellsworth, ” I used to teach history at Highland High School in Salt Lake City. Kids couldn’t put World War I, Vietnam and Korea in chronological order. That’s horrible. The kids couldn’t explain to me about Jacksonian democracy. I’m talking to juniors and seniors. These kids should’ve had a little understanding of this. They couldn’t give me the geography of the U.S. outside the mountain states. Utah is not unique in this problem — I imagine that most teachers in most states have seen a similar disconnect from our past. We’re raising a nation that may be ignorant of its past, and I want to amend that.”

Daniel Webster said the following: “I apprehend no danger to our country from a foreign foe. Our destruction, should it come at all, will be from another quarter. From the inattention of the people to the concerns of their government, from their carelessness and negligence, I must confess that I do apprehend some danger. I fear that they may place too implicit a confidence in their public servants, and fail properly to scrutinize their conduct; that in this way they may be made the dupes of designing men and become the instruments of their own undoing. Make them intelligent, and they will be vigilant; give them the means of detecting the wrong, and they will apply the remedy.”
The hope is that through these study groups we regain the ability to detect the wrong and will be motivated enough to apply the remedy.
Dustin is also an executive member of the Constitutional Grassroots Movement.

President and CEO of Freight Management Inc., Anaheim, CA
Robert J. Walters founded American Traffic Services in 1969 and it was one of the first freight consulting and management companies. Robert’s father owned and ran a trucking company so he grew up in the industry; however, running a trucking company wasn’t a big enough challenge for him. It was his feeling that something was missing; that there were bigger pieces to this puzzle and someone had to bring them all together. Having graduated from UCLA, and with his first-hand industry experience, he set out to create a company that would assist shippers in choosing the right carriers for both their freight and their lanes. But he didn’t want to leave the truckers out of that equation, so he set out to develop relationships with carriers in order to create a type of harmonious marriage between the shipper and carrier. This service included full-service management of freight and provided dedicated staff to help in the day-to-day operations for both the shipper and the carrier.
