October 28, 1886

On this date, The Statue of Liberty, a gift to the people of the United States from the people of France, was dedicated. In 1924, Lady Liberty was designated a national monument and in 1986, she was restored for the centennial. When dedicated in 1886, President Grover Cleveland said that “Liberty” would “magnify France beyond the seas”.(http://www.nps.gov/stli/index.htm). After the dedication, fireworks and New York’s first ever ‘Ticker Tape’ parade celebrated the event.

Please visit the National Park Service website to learn more about the 125th Anniversary of Lady Liberty. The theme for the event is “Honor History, Envision the Future”.

CONTRAST THIS TO WHAT IS COMING FROM HOLLYWOOD TODAY, WE HAVE LOST OUR COUNTRY, FREEDOMS, RIGHTS AND LIBERTY BECAUSE WE WERE TOO DISTRACTED AND NOW ONLY THE FITTIST AND THE READY WILL BE ABLE TO FIGHT TO GET IT BACK. NOT ABROAD FOR THE ENEMY IS WITHIN THE GATES AND THIS FIGHT WILL BE FOUGHT HERE!
